This is an excellent no-annual-fee option for earning bonus points on broad range of business-related purchases. It includes categories that aren't included with the mainstream Chase and Amex cards, such as "consulting and public relations services",and "office and commercial furniture", and serves as a good option for people who can't get the Chase Ink cards (because of the Chase 5/24 rule).

FNBO Business Card Options
First National Bank of Omaha has three different business reward credit cards.
- Business Category Rewards. Earns 5x points on business purchases. This is the one that is likely to be most interesting.
- Complete Rewards. Earns 2% cash back on all purchases. The only reason to get this card over cards like the PayPal card (which has no foreign transaction fee) or the Citi DoubleCash cards (which has better purchase protections), is the cell phone protection. However, if you are willing and able to use a business card as your general-purpose reward, we strongly recommend the Amex Blue for Business card. There are several other options for cell phone protection.
- Reward Simplicity. Earns 1.5x points on all purchases. Your general purpose reward card should be earning more than that.

Other Notable Benefits
- Cell Phone Protection. Available on all FNBO Business cards. Protects up to five phones, with a $50 deductible, $600 claim maximum, and $1,000 yearly maximum. Even better, with the Business Category card, you'd be earning 5% back on your cell phone bill at the same time.
Bonus Categories
- The Business Category card earns good rewards on your business spending. You'll earn 5x points, valued at 5 cents per dollar. This is as good, or higher, than any other card, except the Chase Ink cards, which have the possibility of earning more valuable Ultimate Rewards points (but are subject the Chase 5/24 rule). Best Credit Cards for Retail Purchases.
- It earns bonus rewards on business expenses that aren't covered by its Chase and Amex siblings. Like most other business-category reward cards, the FNBO card gives you bonus points on telecommunication services and purchases from office supply stores. But, the FNBO also gives you bonus rewards on a range of other purchases like utility expenses, commercial equipment, office and commercial furniture, advertising services, computer maintenance and repair, and consulting and public relations services. There is a good chance that this is either the only card that will earn bonus rewards on some of your purchases, or that it earns a higher reward rate (5%) than your other options. If you have other cards that earn bonus rewards on business spending, and you have a lot business expenses, you can maximize your rewards by using the other cards for their covered expenses, and using this card for purchases that the other cards don't include.
- Getting the FNBO card lets you increase the overall cap on your business-related bonus rewards. Each of the business credit cards, including the FNBO card, caps the total amount of spending that is eligible for bonus rewards. For example, the Ink Cash card caps bonus rewards on your first $25,000 of spending. The FNBO gives you the opportunity to earn bonus rewards on an additional $25,000 in spending on top of what is available from your other cards.
- There are better options for your restaurant and gas purchases. The bonus category rewards from FNBO Business Edition are more valuable than what you would earn from a good general-purpose reward card, but you can earn even more valuable rewards from other cards. Best Credit Cards for Restaurant Spending. Best Credit Cards for Gas Spending.
- You don't want to use this card for your everyday spending. You'll earn higher rewards from a good general-purpose reward card. Get a Great General Purpose Reward Card and Use It for All of Your Spending.
Getting these Cards
You can't apply for these cards online. You'll need to visit a branch instead. If you don't live near an FNBO branch, you may be able to get them through one of your regional banks or savings and loans. FNBO makes the cards available to a set of other regional banks around the country. To find a potential partner you'll need to contact a FNBO branch.
